Artist Ulver Nattens Madrigal Rock Pop Heavy Metal Compact Disc

Track Title. 1 I.2 Ii.3 Iii.4 Iv.5 V.6 Vi.7 Vii.8 Viii. Nattens Madrigal (Madrigal of the Night) purports to be a concept album about wolves, the night, the moon, and the dark side of mankind, but it’s difficult to tell, partly because the album was allegedly recorded outdoors in a forest. But even without the resulting sound quality, Ulver’s music is so fast and ferocious and the vocals so garbled (and in Norwegian, at that) that it’s best just to take the sheer sonic force as reflecting the band’s concept, rather than trying to piece it all together. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide.

Swedish metal outfit In Flames release their first album without founding member and chief songwriter Jesper Str mblad, which finds them move away from their heavier metal tendencies and toward a modern, mainstream sound. Sound of a Playground Fading is the tenth record by the outfit and seamlessly embeds electronic synths into the sound alongside the driving guitar riffs that has characterized the band for two decades. Lead singer Anders Friden refines his gritty growls to soaring chorus vocals on single Deliver Us, Rovi.

Artist Mayhem De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Rock Pop Heavy Metal Compact

Release Date: 23 May 1994. Attributes: Discs: 1. Label: Emm/Century Media ( CEME ). Product Type: Compact Disc. Catalog : 7767. UPC: 727701776729. Configuration: D: CD. Released to acclaim after Euronymous’ death, this is the most readily available Mayhem album in America. The music is fast and furious, and the stomach-turning vocals are unintelligible, but Mayhem avoids being simply standard by making subtle changes in their sound throughout the album and not falling into a rut or repeating themselves, as too many other black metal bands tend to do. This album may require a bit of patience, but it is worth it. Steve Huey, Rovi.
